Dyed in the Wool
A dyed-in-the-wool knitter shares mainly fibre-related information, updates and musings (with the occasional moan about the weather!).

Miscellany part 1

Monday, November 06, 2006
That does kind of threaten imply that more miscellaneous stuff will be forthcoming, and there probably will!

For Deb:

Having a birthday in early January I can fully sympathise with Deb's complaint about blech calendar pictures in November. My offerings to her are this:

nov calendar 1

And this:
nov calendar 2

I'd also like to give her (and everyone else) these pictures of two birch trees looking like they're on fire, thanks to the late afternoon sun on the 2nd of November:

Birch tree in sunlight
Birch tree in sunlight 2
Birch tree in sunlight 3
Click on any of the photos for a larger view. If you want to keep this page open, right click over the pictures and choose "Open in New Window" (Internet Explorer) or "Open in New Tab" (Mozilla Firefox)

Sew?
I've finally made progess on the tunic-length shirt.

Setting in the second sleeve
checked shirt - setting in sleeve

I have two posts ready for the ABC Along, but the "V is for ..." one will be a bit late, maybe in a day or so, and the W post after that (still need to find some photos for that one!)

  • My Enterprise Calendar has Phlox, not my favourite character to look at, but the Labrador calendars are fine. The trees do look fiery, I saw fiery trees here yesterday along the coast, but they were red and DEAD. Not enough rain. I should be sewing too......
